A virtual tour of select sites included in A Shared Heritage Tour
In 2021, Mercyhurst University’s Public History and Museum Studies program of the Thomas B. Hagen History Department received an internal anti-racism grant to pay a group of students a small stipend to produce a series of six short videos recorded on the site of six of locations included in A Shared Heritage Tour: Jerusalem/Bayview Park, Erie Cemetery, E.F. Smith Quality of Life Learning center, Girard Unitarian Universalist Church, Collegiate Academy, and Erie Maritime Museum. Dr. Chris Magoc worked with students to develop scripts, and Dr. Averill Earls, who specializes in digital history, edited the students’ work into one 12-15 minute video tour.
