The Harmony Project, Shared Heritage’s most recent project, has been led by Shared Heritage artists, Dorothy Tucker and Viv Philpot.
Using plants as the inspiration to make designs, the artists worked with 10 youth and community groups across Richmond, Kingston, Sutton, Merton, Croydon and Wandsworth.
Inspired by the life and work of the 19th century designer, Christopher Dresser, participants visited the Victoria and Albert Museum to see original Dresser designs. An exhibition of all the participants’ designs and products was held at the Stables Gallery in Twickenham between September and October 2014.
The project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.
